I sat in the nicely done chair gazing out the window at the people floors below my room. Seeing the world pass me by in a few short or long steps to their destination. I wanted to get out but I had to stay here because we had a big show tonight. Can you believe it? After all these years and all this time of being away from the stage, we're back on the stage and it feels like we've never left.
"Nick! Come on, we have to be at our last rehearsal," Howie said
I turned my head in his direction. I was expecting Kevin like old times to bang down my door and yell like a raving lunatic for me to get my blonde ass downstairs and too not be late. For once I would have been thrilled to hear that again.
"Yeah D, I'm coming! I'll meet you downstairs," I told as I turned back to look out the window.
I got up and grabbed my duffel bag walking towards the door. Before I left a got an eerie chill up my spine, it caused me to turn around. I looked around my room and closed the door behind me. Who knew it'd be the last time I'd look back into that room?
